Better tech from the past

The Onyko has the function buttons on the tuner and not just on the remote. Unlike the consumer gear made today.
I didn't receive a remote and the Onyko is still perfectly operable. I love the colourful front panel with clearly labeled function controls. The reception is good & the am section is good for dxing.
It's treated as more than a afterthought for once.

I also have som
higher end Onyko stereo separates with dark gray function lettering on a monolithic black background. At night its impossible to see which knob or button does what on these late 2017 components. Just 2 lights to let you know anything is on..
The lettering and minimal lighting are impossible to see.
This Onyko tuner is easy to see & use day or night. The colourful display is informative & pleasing to look at. Plus the price I got it at was was quite pleasing too!
Were do all these remotes go by the way? Why aren't they retained with their device given how important they are?
Do they go to the same twilight zone as my missing socks?
