Otterbox defender thoughts

The otterbox defender was my choice because my 3 grandsons have otterbox cases for their I-pods and after a year and a half, all 3 are doing fine, one even took a bath in a toilet and recovered nicely. In the first week of use I broke the holster by sitting in my easychair with the holster on my right hip. It snapped at the hinge. I had a spare on hand and am trying to get used to having it in the front. The problem with this position is that the seat belt in a car covers it. I may have to take the phone out of the holster when riding in a car. My antique 2G flipphone rode and clipped to my shirt pocket, so none of this was an issue. AT&T decreed that that phone was obsolete, so my decision was forced. I'm satisfied with the otterbox so far, an feel it protects the phone as much as possible.
