EMG PA2 Yowza...But -

I installed the emg PA2 pick-up booster in my 2001 Fender Squier Telecaster. In order to do this I removed the tone control and used the hole for the new unit. It and the battery fit in with no drilling or excavating (you do have to shuffle the cables around so they sit on top of the battery when you close up. There is minimal soldering to do as the unit comes with a bunch of pre-fit wiring. The only odd thing is the installation of the switching jack but that's a Tele thing and not an emg thing.

The PA2 does exactly what it's supposed to do. It gives your pick-ups a clean boost. It does not give you "dirt" or sustain like I thought it would but it really does a great job of giving you more volume if you are a clean player. I would give it 5 stars but it seems like the mechanics in the switch itself may be a little flimsy. I turned it on a couple of times and nothing happened until I flipped back and forth. I may be a little aggressive when I play.
