Christmas Purchase
I don’t know much about drum rugs but this one seems to work fine for my son. It has rubber underneath so it doesn’t slide easily and comes with a carrying bag that the rug slides into for transporting. The bag isn’t super nice but it will do for now since my son provably won’t be moving it around a lot.Read full review...

On the light weight side
Besides being larger than my last drum gig rig (44"x67" vs 63"x78"), which is my mistake. I have been playing four nights a week, for the past 51 years and found the smaller foot print rug fit more venues. I used the meinl rug this weekend and it was too much rug for my needs. I play, basically a 4 to 5 pcs set (2 to 3 toms, bass drum and snare). It may be fine for someone else. My main issue is with the thickness of the rug as well as the rubber backing. Very very thin. If you use spurs with rubber foot rolled back to expose bare pointed tip, to anchor your drum, the spurs will go completely through the rug. I went to move my set to fit band setup, when I pulled the rug with drums on them, the spurs scratched the floor (luckly it was at a Paint and Body Shop). The rug I have used in the past was a "Restaurant" rug and very heavy duty, with real rubber backing. Live and learn. Can't return now, so now a garage rug.Read full review...

Great drum rug!!
I have a double bass set with two 20x22 kick drums with a Gibralter 850 dbl rack with 13 cymbals total and this Rug really set my kit off with looks and durability. Nothing on my kit slides anywhere. I highly recommend!Read full review...
