No more mousing around with Trackpad 2

So much better than rolling a mouse around on a pad. Plus the "intelligent" features, e.g. One-finger curser moving, two finger scrolling; double finger swipe left to go back a page, double finger swipe to go forward a page or tab.

You can swipe between pages. You can access "Mission Control" which show all the screen, application pages that are open and can then select a page you want to return to.

You can open the applications file by just pinching your thump and three fingers giving you access to all your programs.

A niffty gadget.

I like the magic mouse better than the pad.

It tends to bring up all kinds of screens that are not what one is trying to get. I think it is due to it being too sensitive to ones touch while trying to do one thing and another unwanted screen shows up. So far I definitely like the Magic mouse better as I get exactly what I am after with the first try where as with the Trackpad you never know what is going to appear. Both my wife and son like it a lot, so I may have too heavy a touch. Possibly more than my fingers are making contact with the screen. I have been very aware of this and tried to be careful to only hit the screen with my finger, but with very little success. I like the mouse better.Read full review...

Great addition to iMac 5K

If you're using the trackpad on your MacBook Pro, you'll love the Magic Trackpad 2 on an iMac 5K. It allows fast navigation through OS X and easy zooming in Safari. But for fine positioning work on photos, I still find the Magic Mouse useful. Both the Magic Trackpad and the mouse can be connected at the same time, so it's no hassle to move from one to the other. Magic Trackpad 2

Pretty cool device. I won’t be replacing my (Apple) mouse with it, I used them interchangeably. More for browsing and navigating. My favorite part is the force touch features like previewing links, force-clicking an address and having a map pop up among others.

Is not a must-have but nice-to-have for me. Which is why I wouldn’t (and didn’t) pay full price for it. But if you have Macbook and prefer the track pad to the mouse then you should consider it.

Convenient Trackpad!

Works so well! I don't really like using a traditional mouse because I really like the two finger scrolls and three finger swipe features of trackpads. Recently, I just got a keyboard so it's a perfect add-on though quite pricey. I think it's a great investment though. It basically looked like new as well, and couldn't really see how it was used before minus one small scratch on the bottom side.Read full review...

It takes a little getting used to, but it's great!

Give yourself about a week to get used to it, but my guess is that you'll really enjoy it. For me, I'm working on an Ikea desk with a somewhat reflective surface. This prevents optical mice from working properly --- which is why I turned to the Magic Trackpad.

A single charge will last several weeks with heavy use.

All in all, I couldn't be happier -- and compared to buying it locally, you can't beat the price.

Increased productivity with this trackpad

Fits well next to my keyboard and feels natural. The surface area is just right for me, not too big, not too small. Nice to have the convenience of rechargability and with the simple usb cable. And the charge lasts for a nice long time.

I'm enjoying all I can do with it. The features for daily use are wonderful.

Love It!!!!

Love It! So much easier to use than the magic mouse but I can say I'm bias because I use the track pad on my laptops far more than a mouse and for me this is a no brainers for my iMac. Gestures are easy and productivity is effortless. Love this track pad.Read full review...

Still Magic

The Apple Magic Trackpad 2 displays a significant upgrade to its predecessor. It features a slimmer overall design and now comes with rechargeable batteries. Like Apple Magic Mouse, it has a multi-touch surface, good for both left- and right-handed use. It automatically pairs with Macs via Bluetooth is compatible with all iMacs and MacBooks.Read full review...

Numbers keys a plus

Connects great to MacBook Pro.
Adding numbers pad is great help to me.

Would prefer if Apple made keyboards thicker like Logitech and have that type of key action and feel. But Apple designs more with aesthetics than functionality. Thin and clean design but not necessarily best for function and daily use.

If you have Apple this keyboard is a plus.

The Apple Trackpad adds functionality and is easy to use.

One caution I can share is that two (2) major settings must be made for Trackpad to work properly.
1 - Under “System Preferences”, select “Trackpad” then add some features.
2 - Under “System Preferences” select “Accessibility” select “Mouse & Trackpad”, then activate “Trackpad Options”.Read full review...
