Street Fighter IV: CE Awesomeness

I would have to point out the items included in the Street Fighter IV: Collector's Edition over the standard version.

Not only does it come with the full game - included in the package is; the game's original (arranged) sound score, a copy of the Street Fighter IV: The Ties that Bind (system only) movie feature, a code to unlock alternate outfits for the brawler characters - and a figurine.

There is a figurine and supposed full-length feature - those are kind of weak sauce but okay to have for a collector; the movie is NOT a dvd it is a video made for the Xbox that runs at 720p for visual quality; unfortunately the story therein doesn't add anything to the overall experience. There is an arranged Street Fighter IV OST CD included that features the main character themes; its for the main cast of Street Fighter characters from the arcade; home version character themes excluded - good for background music when cutting and editing combo videos.

The game itself is pretty top-shelf and this particular item would make a great addition to a Street Fighter fan's collection or the perfect gift for a Street Fighter fan you know that can appreciate its awesomeness.

Street Fighter IV - The est Fighting Game Ever Made

All,

Let me start by saying that I am an absolute fighting game fanatic. It's been several years since I could list a new Capcom fighting game as one of my favorites and I believe that I have every fighting game made for each of the gaming 8 systems I own. Until I bought Street Fighter IV, I was playing Dead or Alive IV, Soul Calibur IV and an old school title, Marvel vs. Capcom, on a daily basis.

I bought recently Street Fighter IV along with the tournament edition gaming stick and I can't put it down. I was a bit skeptical and very disappointed when I first discovered that Street Fighter IV was a 2d fighting game. Any negative feelings I had quickly disappeared when I finally popped the disk in my XBOX. I was absolutely blown away with the graphics and game play Capcom was able to achieve in a 2-D game. The graphics are far better than any of the 2d fighting games for sale today and even rival the best 3d fighting games on the market right now.

The sound was also excellent and thankfully it was fully adjustable as well. I loved being able to change the various sound components. It was especially nice to turn off the annoying voice of the announcer who sounded more like a game show host from the "Running Man" movie.

The Game play is fantastic. It's simple enough to pick up and start playing right away, unlike a Virtua Fighter V, but deep enough to keep experienced fighters interested. In my opinion. the reason this game is the worlds best fighting game is the combat engine that sports the incredibly balanced game play. Although Street Fighter IV is a completely different and far more sophisticated game, playing it feels a lot like Street Fighter II. It's quite intuitive and many of the special moves are easy enough to execute that beginners and even button mashers can be competitive, while the experts will find more than enough depth to keep them coming back for more.

When compared to other world class titles like BlazBlue, K.O.F. VII, DC Universe vs. Mortal Kombat, Tekken 6, Dead or Alive 4, Soul Calibur IV, Virtua Fighter V, Guilty Gear Overture and others Street Fighter is clearly the best and most balanced game of the class. This game is so good that I stopped playing everything else.

In my opinion, Capcom also provides the best online gaming experience. Although there is noticeable lag, its nothing when compared to Soul Calibur IV, BlazBlue and the worst of the group King of Fighters XII. It's also very easy to find a match and I rarely waited longer than 30 seconds to find an opponent of a similar skill level thanks to the rating system in Championship mode.

My only compliant about the game was the lack of a single player story mode, which is a part of most fighting games today. However, the lack of a story mode does very little to discourage me from recommending this game to all fighting game aficionados. At times I actually thought that it might be better that Capcom focused all of their energy building a perfect head to head combat system rather than wasting resources with a worthless story mode.

In summary, I recommend this game to all age groups and gamer types. It's perfect for beginners and experts alike.

Awesome Game, Some Great Extras Included

Having been a huge fan of the Street Fighter Series and saying this game is just a blast to play. The Movie Ties That Bind, is cheesy but at least it offers the Japanese Voice Track with English Subtitles. The Soundtrack I have not listened to yet but the music from the game is great. The C Viper figure was cool but I did not remove it from the package! I just think this is worth every bit that I paid for it!

Cheers,
Charlie

Best fighting game ever

This game holds onto a lot that made Street Fighter II so great and it improves upon it with the special move systems from alpha and Street Fighter III. I play this game with my roommates everyday, taking turns. There is tons to unlock and its always more fun with a room full of friends or a trusty internet connection to play online. I would recommend this game to anyone who has an XBox 360 or a PS3 and who enjoys fighting games.Read full review...

sf4 Collecters ed

Great fighting game. A classic is back with SF4. You can play with all the classic characters and there are 4 new characters. Many many unlockables, however the best thing is online play. Need Xbox Gold to play online, so highly recommend it if you have or are considering obtaining Xbox Gold.Read full review...
