3-D experience terrible

We have a 3-D TV, so I assumed this 3-D DVD would be like other 3-D movies I have purchased that you can watch on a 3-D TV with your own 3-D glasses that are for your TV. This DVD came with paper glasses (green on one side, and red on the other side). The colors were a lot worse than just watching the regular DVD of Polar Express. The red colors looked brown! So Santa's huge gift bag was brown! So if you have a 3-D TV, don't buy this DVD.Read full review...

Not for 3 d tv systems

This product is for those who do not have a 3D tv. It looks horrible with my 3D system. They do include paper 3D glasses to use with a normal tv that look even worse. Also does not enclose blue ray so you must watch it as dvd, can watch in low hd on cable for free. The product was sealed and in new condition so no complaints there but the 3D part is a little misleading.Read full review...

Polar Express 3-D (This rating is for 3-D version only)

The content of the movie, Polar Express, is beyond wonderful...the best of the best; but don't waste your time on the 3-D version. You get very few moments of brilliance in an otherwise blurry display. Even after adjusting the brightness, as recommended, my husband and I sat there desperately wanting it to improve. We actually sat through the whole movie not willing to give up while occasionally trying different adjustments to the TV only to end up disappointed. I just don't think that the technology for a quality 3-D picture with blue and red glasses is here yet. Get the regular version and enjoy a holiday masterpiece!Read full review...

Disappointed

Disappointed. We have 3D television that has active shutter 3D glasses, thought this 3D DVD would work with that but it doesn’t. DVD provides glasses with red and blue lens for 3 D effect.

Fantastic 3d movie worth buying. I just have a 13 year old tv and it was still 3d. The first part of the movie its a little blurry, but later it really gets 3d. Don't buy this movie if you don't want to feel cold ,ice snow and wind blows and you really feel it. This movie comes with 3d glasses, and I didn't buy the blue ray version just the regular because I don't have blue ray, I think there are 2 versions so make sure you get the right one. Two thumbs up !! If you like steam trains , snow, eagles, wolves running in the cold snow and Tom Hanks as an animated train conducter......youll love this movie.Read full review...

WASTED MONEY

Kept reading the reviews and couldn't decide if to buy this dvd or not. Bought it and shouldn't have wasted the money. There were parts of this that you could see the 3D, but it is very hard to watch. Faces are outlined double with green and over all this isn't worth the money. We will not be watching this one again, we will watch the orginal. We watch this movie several times a year and love it. Really too bad this 3D one isn't better quality, could have been really nice. Adults and kids both were disappointed in this 3D movie. You may like it but for us it was a waste of money and time. Our opinion is just stick with the orginal.Read full review...

3-D in 2021 is real 3-D with 3dTV and glasses, 3-D in 1950 is red and blue paper. Even the standard disc that it comes with is not very clear it looks like a copy.junk
