solvit plus pet stairs
Got it for my older dog. He is about 22 pounds. The ladder handles well when he uses it. I prop the back end against my bed really well to make it sturdier. A larger dog would not feel comfortable on it but there are various sizes (weight and size specific). One issue I noticed is that the very edge of each step is slippery for the dog. I will have to get some non-stick strips for the edge. If you watch your dog going up and down to your bedroom upstairs, you will notice that they do use the edge of the stairs like we humans do. So, I think the product should have the non-slip strips. Hence, the four stars.Read full review...

Misrepresented item, not by this seller per se but the manufacturer.
This item would probably support the weight it claims to but it is not proportionally built for a dog that would weigh approx 120 lbs. It is WAY too narrow and the steps themselves are not deep enough for my big boy to even try to step on them. They have just enough movement to them to scare him off, not from slipping on the floor but from the shift on the back support. Good for some dogs
The stairs are good for some dogs, but didn't work for my newly blind dog who needs a way to get on and off my bed. The stairs are too close together for a medium or large dog. I'd guess a Cavalier King Charles size would be the biggest these would work for. My girl is 46 pounds - medium - and the stairs were very wobbly with that weight. Good for small dogs! A little slippery
These steps are great as they allow my daschund to get up on the bed easier. Saying that, they are a little slippery for dogs who know how to use them and run up. My dog has used a similar product for many years and it was fully carpeted so no slipping. I now have a higher bed and she tends to slip getting up on occasion. Good option for an aging dog!
I purchased these steps for my aging 40# dog. He sleeps on my bed, which is 28" high, and I don't want his shoulders and hips to suffer from jumping up and down. The steps are the right height for this, and for getting him into the back of my SUV. The challenge is training him to use them. With much patience and many treats, I've gotten him to use them when I'm insistent. But he still doesn't really trust them. Though they are strong enough to hold his weight, they're a bit less than stable laterally (side-to-side). But then I have them on carpet, so that may be a factor. Good for cats and small dogs
We have a very very large Cavalier King Charles approximately 18kgs and he will not use them without food tempting him. Unless he steps in the middle of the steps they are a little unsteady when he gets to the two top steps. Folds easy
It is a little unstable and the steps are not very deep. Most likely you will need to quite a bit of training to get your dog to get up the steps. We are still working on it in our house. Dogs are a little unsure because it wobbles a bit. But if you are looking for something high enough to get to the top of a bed this one is most likely high enough. Lightweight and easily moved out of the way when not needed
I saw the picture of the English bulldog and had to give this Pet Stairs a try. We just added an English bulldog to our family and he can't get up on our bed. When we would pick him up and put him on the bed, he didn't have a way to get down other than jump. Jumping for these fellows is not recommended based on their build. These stairs work perfectly. Took one session with treats to get him to try out the stairs and now he uses them without thinking about it. When making the bed we can move the stairs easily out of the way.
