Doctor Who: The Deadly Assassin

Originally released in 1976 this Dr. Who episode was re-released in 2009,
it is directed by David Maloney (Last of the Mohicans & many Dr. Who movies)
and was orginally made for TV. The plot of this Dr. Who has the good Doctor
(Tom Baker) returning to his home planet of Gallifrey to protect the
president of the High Council of the Time Lords from certain assassination.
But there is real trouble brewing when he is named the prime suspect in
the presidents death when the assassination occurrs. The Doctor has been
acting very strangely prior to the assassination so it is no wonder that
he is suspected. The Doctor sets out to clear his name as only Dr. Who can,
as well as save the planet from peril and to throw in a little extra--reveal
the identity of the true assassin. A very good sci-fi, fantasy movie that
is above expectations for a made for TV type movie. This movie will fill a
nights entertainment and will be enjoyable to most people, especially those
enjoying a little suspense as you try to unwind the killers identity in this
