Shocked in comparison

The original Crank was a movie of genius proportions with never before seen film action. High Voltage had its moments but seemed a silly run on from the original. A good way to compare the first from the second is to take a look at Amy Smart in both films. In Crank her role was smooth, sexy, alluring, and totally vivacious. While in High Voltage she played a raunchy, scummy, distasteful underworld sex object. Jason Statham is a great addition to any film and he held my interest throughout its entirety. I gave High Voltage a more than deserved 'average' rating only because I was expecting more of the first and so was disappointed. It seemed to be made up as the movie went along with the directors being stoned out of any reasonable thought processes. As the movie ended there appeared to be left an opening for a third Crank. Ughhhh! Terrible! Don't Waste Your Time or Money!!

Jason Statham is Awesome in Almost Anything; this was Bad though. I was Describing this movie to a Friend and all I could say is it was Vulgar and Crass, worst than the first;
The Story was Really Bad this Time and I would not recommend wasting your time or money.

Jason Statham Returns with a vengance

Jason Statham Returns with a vengeance in this sequel to Crank.

After falling nearly a mile at the end of Crank, Statham finds himself on an operating table after having his heart cut out to replace that of a dying crime boss played by David Carradine. Where the movie goes from there is pretty far fetched however it is full of action and many Crank fans will get a kick out of some of the inventive ways that Statham uses to charge himself up.

Its a good movie if your really into this type of movie.

Poor production and editing, I expected much more from Jason Statham. FLOP!

Really enjoyed the first Crank movie. This sequel however fell extremely short of my expectations. Obviously, cheaply produced and edited. Had a hard time believing Jason Statham agreed to it's release as shot! The cartoon popups with gratuitus swearing were like something out of a late 60's Batman show. Being a guy, I have little issues with most R rated sex scenes...but the scenes in this sequel were so bad and graphic that I lost respect for both Statham and Amy Smart. Dwight Yoakam's follow up performance of Chelios Doctor were sad, at best! First movie I have added to my collection in years that I was REALLY disappointed in. Good thing it was cheap to purchase from a good seller. Would not recommend this sequel to anyone.Read full review...
