racing is not the only thing done here

It is a balanced mix of racing style challenges, single player missions and casual, relaxed driving around the island (anyone who liked the relative freedom of games like Driver back in the day will love this game).

The game is beautifully and realistically set on the island of Ibiza, but the developers of TDU 2 have generously included a revamped and improved Oahu from the first game in the series.
The ability to drive so many different cars – you will love the fact that every car has true to life acceleration, engine noise and handling.•Stunning and realistic graphics – I had never been to Oahu or Ibiza before coming across this game but I certainly wan’t to go there now!
•There is always something else to do. Want a break from racing? Drive around the island and find wrecked cars, dealerships or just head to your favorite beauty spot to watch the sun go down. Even if you somehow get sick of the very act of driving itself, you can easily switch to Collection mode where you can buy yourself a house, a new car or even clothing and invite your friends over so you can gloat about your new possessions.
The ability to race your friends for bragging rights – this is something that any serious race enjoys immensely!
Some people have said that the quality of the computer competitors in race mode are a bit tame to the say the least.

Now you can make of that what you will. For some it won’t be an issue because they like to win at any cost. Others will find that the hairpin turns, switchbacks and car handling will be enough of a challenge that a race will still be enjoyable.

Then there are the rest of us who prefer to race against our friends where perhaps the competition is a little stronger but just as fun.

Another quirk of TDU 2 is that it won’t suit those sort of racing gamers that like to race and do nothing else.

Im glad I bought this game.

I bought this item because i wanted a new ps3 game and i saw this and it looked interesting. After looking at trailers and more info it seemed really good. You can buy cars and homes and go out shopping in the game. Its like a sims game but only better!! I say its like a sims but only the concept. The controls and game play is nothing like sims. i reccomend this game and hope to keep players happy with this review.Read full review...

Real drive

As the open-world becomes increasingly ubiquitous in this generation, isn’t it about time we actually starting paying attention to the specific types of free-roamable playgrounds developers are offering up in exchange for our precious time? You’ve got the satirical open world, like the GTA series with its twisted take on American consumerism; there’s World Of Warcraft’s chatroom-dressed-up-as-Tolkein; vertiginous climbing frames like InFamous and Crackdown; even grown-up Lego sets in Minecraft (for the creative-types) and Red Faction (for those more inclined towards destruction).

Test Drive Unlimited 2, though, goes for an altogether different approach. In its geographically meticulous recreated Ibiza, TDU2 is a simulacrum of a paradise that could never exist; a Spanish island solely inhabited by a genetically-cloned moron-horde of plastic party chasers, all of whom are inexplicably American. It’s the kind of thing you’d find in a far-flung vault in Fallout III, and promptly leave.

Not worth it.

Bought this game because I thought it was as good as the first one, even better, but heck no, its not fun at all, got bored in less than 10 hours in game. Driving physics are not so good, cars look way to cartoony, and sound effects are bad. Don't get me started on the characters voice acting and facial expressions, just plain horrible.
I was really disapointed with this game and I'm glad I returned it.

ok, still needs more work in order to make it realistic as possible

the concept of the game is great but the overall execution is poor. There is still a lot of glitches that needs to be fixed; the developers should play the game before they decide to release it on the market.Read full review...

Fun game.

The game is cool! Islands are totally open. You can use any road you want, you can go offroad if you wish. It's fun!

cars + reality

This game is really funny. You have a combination of cars, driving competitions with a "the sims" sort of style. You can simulate a real life and get to know ibiza and hawaii. very good
