Great buy for the cost.

For the money this is an excelent purchase. It has limitations, f-stop, but is versial in a number of situations. I found this to be easy to use, but I am also relitively new to electronic camera having started back in the 1970s, so adjustment come natural for me.Read full review...

Worthless

If you are serious about photography, don't buy this lens. I bought it to see if a $100 lens would be worth anything. It's not. Manual focus is impossible for almost any lens on a camera without a split prism anyway. There is no aperture setting. Since it doesn't have any electronic connections, the camera's manual aperture settings will not work with it. You have to allow for that. You also have to set the camera's shutter to release without a lens because without electronic connections, SLRs usually won't release the shutter unless you tell it to. I've been a photographer for 48 years. I have had bad lenses but this is the worst. Circuit City did take it back and refunded me.Read full review...

Quite good for the money.

For the incredibly low price I can't find any fault ; It is long, not too heavy , appears well constructed of good materials, and to a certain limit can be hand held and focused, after practicing a short while, at least in a camera with an efficient image stabilization system such as my Olympus ; Using the 2X tele converter requires some type of support for good focusing but even so I managed good photos of a full moon resting it on the back of a patio chair and holding my breath.....Definitely worth the little money it costed.Read full review...

Great lens....Totally manual focus---Glad I added to my tool box!

Good quality! Since I could not afford the auto-focus equivalent at several thousand dollars, it is a great cost effective choice. Totally manual focus....must use a tripod....must use 2 sec delay or remote to take the picture. I was able to take a picture of big bird's head off a small ornament on the Christmas tree way across the room.....Waiting for a dry warmer day to go to the park and capture ducks on the lake....I think it will work great from what I see so far....Read full review...

Great lens for the price

You get a sharp image but not as sharp as a more expensive one. It’s manual focus and has to be on a tripod to take a good photo. The 2x converter didn’t fit on my camera.

Good lens

Very hard to find and focus your target. But this is not a lens error it is a learning and movement problem. At very high magnification. any movement, even very tiny ones , will throw your target out of frame. A definite practice and learning curve. But if you can master the focus and getting you subject in frame the pictures are great.Read full review...

Good lens. Bad 2x adder

The lens itself is good but with the camera in manual mode it is difficult to achieve the picture quality you would expect, however when the camera is in one of the auto modes the picture quality is quite good. Regarding the 2x lens that came with it it is a different diameter and no adaptor came with it. I don't know if there is one available to adapt from the 62mm down to the 41mm 2x lens and the 2x lens itself is quite small and probably be very difficult to focus. If you offer the 2x adder you should offer one that actually fits! Read full review...

Pretty good for the price

It seems to be very durable, it is made of metal and not plastic. It is a little hard to use because everything is manual, so it is not a lens to take quick photos. Once well adjusted the quality of the photos are pretty decent. For the price I am very surprised at what this lens can do.Read full review...

Manual lens review

Takes a lot of practice and Googling tips to get it to work. I think ok for scenery picks but not wildlife, too much time to focus. I won't be using the converter, had a problem seeing anything with it but also don't think I will need it Read full review...
