Beauty and the Beast 2-disc Blu-ray & DVD

Beauty and the Beast is one of those timeless classics, that everyone loves. I absolutely love this movie from the bottom of my heart. I grew up with it as a kid, Law & Order's Jerry Orbach is one of my favorite actors, and he was perfect for the voice of Lumière. The other actors and actresses who lended their voices to this film were amazing too. Whats great about this product is you not only get the standard Theatrical version there's an extended version, the storyboard-only version shown at the New York Film Festival and a storyboards via picture in picture alongside the original theatrical version. So you get more then one version, which is really kind of neat. I remember watching this on VHS and at the time VHS was the best of the best technology at the time. So seeing this restored and in full 1080p HD on Blu-ray is pretty amazing. So if you loved the VHS or DVD version then just wait until you see this movie on Blu-ray. It's very hard to find because right now its in the Disney vault, so it's really expensive but if you're a collector then this movie is worth every penny especially on Blu-ray. Everything I hoped it would be

I have always enjoyed this movie, especially the special edition. I knew to expect a great picture, but the first scene just blew me away. I remember seeing the movie in IMAX and seeing such clarity. This Blu-ray has the richest colors I have ever seen in an animated feature. Disney did this right. Every frame was crystal clear and even the dark colors were great. The difference between the Blu-ray and the DVD is profound enough to make one say "now it is time to buy a Blu-ray player. Having all 3 versions of the movie is wonderful. The Sound is so clear and completely free of any noticeable distortion from the dts-HD soundtrack. IF YOU ARE A DVD PERSON LIKE ME GET THIS VERSION IF YOU CAN FIND IT.

Disney should be ashamed of themselves that they think everyone is going Blu Ray
Machines & discs WAY MORE EXPENSIVE.

Here the regular DVD has the 3 versions of the film (like the 2002 DVD did) & NO EXTRAS.
All the extras I want to see are on the blu ray
In 2010 Disney did the same thing they did in 2009 with the Diamond edition of Snow White Blu ray pack in October & WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS regular DVD package Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

I hope that Disney LOST A LOT OF SALES BECAUSE OF THIS. I KNOW I AM NOT HAPPY

A true classic & beloved film!!
Excellent story, characters &music.
The first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Like many other Disney films, it was such a shame the category of Best Animated Film was not done for this year.
Never get tired of watching the film.

When she becomes unbearably homesick, the Beast permits her to visit her family on condition that she return in a specified period of time.
