trials of installing new headlights
The newer the vehicle the more difficult the process is. I've installed Halo headlights in cars before, but they were older. Take a look at utube for different ideas on how to attack the job. Just getting the old ones out is not an easy procedure. Take your time and don't force it.
The major problem, as I see it, is on the adjustment of the beam of light. I set up my truck on level ground, or concrete, and turned on the high and low beans to try and get a vertical and horizontal line, on a wall, to adjust the new lights to. I was close but not exact. So to adjust these Halo lights, at least most of the adjustments, you have to partially remove the lights from their mounts. I'm to that point now. Mine were pretty good right out of the box.

Overall I was very happy with the product until 2 months into using them both of the headlight bulbs blew out. Fits just like O.E.M. at a cheaper price. Only difference I saw was the blinker light bulb is clear rather than yellow on O.E.M. and the shield with mfg logo that sits in front of low beam halogen bulb is missing. These headlights are very low quality. The Lights and overall build of the headlight is terrible. The lights are very dull and the only way to make it look normal is to turn your bright lights on. Not reliable headlights don’t buy.
I installed the lights and immediately had problems with the adjusting them. After several attempts I finally was able to get them adjusted. Second I had a low beam passenger side bulb burn out shortly after using my headlights. Twice to be honest. I thought no worries I will just pull the battery and get a few new bulbs. Nope, they are not OEM bulbs. Not even close. I hope I can find a replacement . Now for the clincher. I had to pull my headlight to even get to my bulb in my 2008 chevy truck! Terrible design. This was an absolute waste of money and I feel like I was hustled. Do not consider these headlights. Cheap junk.I have contacted the seller and I will see what they say.
