Old gamer or new, this game is just plain entertaining.

Well, I was sitting around thinking about all the old PC games i used to play like Axis & Allies and SimCIty 2000. I started to wonder if I could play those old games on a modern system and thought about downloading it but I have a coule systems and thought it would be nice to put it on both since my son (9 years old) has never been exposed to these games.

Finding SimCity 2000 so cheap, I thought it would be worth a try to see if it worked. Yes it does! It is so great to turn on a football or baseball game next to the computer and just kill time. Sports are so filled with commercials and downtime that this game is a great filler. You don't have to be "eyes open and glued to the screen" to play.

If you are an old time gamer, try going back to these games, they are great. If you are new to them, go for it. My son really enjoys it as an off-pace game. Just like all games, it is a time waster. You wonder what happened to the last 5 hours of your life, but worth it.Read full review...

I totally dig SimCity

I got SimCity 2000, the excellent old game of building cities. It runs VERY fast on newer computers, so even with a very small amount of yearly cash flow you can get lots of money fast.

Great simulation game

Classic for those who grew up in the 90s...

The graphics are mid 90s at best, the game can be a little goofy but it's an enjoyable classic. It's fun game to play when bored, for kids it's some what educational in the fact that it teaches them the very basics of a city and public administration, don't look to deep in to that.Read full review...

SimCity 2000 Special Edition (also Sim City?)

Hours of fun. Personally - can't get above certain levels. Haven't been able to try everything out yet. Recommended for just about anyone into puzzle/simulation games!!

SimCity 200 review.

As far a city building game may go, this title we probably quite good for its time, but the who game plays out more like the game "Life" than an actual city-building simulation. This seem to happen randomly, and there's little you can actually do, except sit around and watch what happens.

If you're looking for city-building strategy, I'd suggest you go with a more modern game, like Pharaoh, or Cesar 3.Read full review...

SC2000 original with extra cities to start off.

This is a timeless classic. A top must-have among all must-haves that are at the top. Does not work with modern Windows. But work with DOSbox.

I like this game because you can build your very own city and blend it together with SimCopter. Even though both the games are compatible with win95 only. I have managed to get both of them to work on VISTA. Very good deals!!Read full review...
