Riveting reading.

This is the original script that the movie is based on. In his own words and the language style of the 19th century we can get a true feeling of what slavery was like especially in Louisiana just before the Civil War. The movie is pretty true to the book, and does a great portrayal of his unfolding horror at being kidnapped and transported into slavery after being born a free person in the North.Read full review...
