A WINNER PRODUCT - MONEY SAVER
This filter is its 3rd month of operations. It is lasting almost 3 times longer than the regular paper ones. It is definitely a money saver. The only thing you have to put up with is cleaning every month or so with muriatic acid [Liquid Plumber or Drano or anything similar]. That operation in itself takes less then half an hour. At this stage we haven't changed the first set we put in 3 months ago and we will clean one more time for sure.We run our humidifier 365/24/7 at 30 to 40 % humidity level. Washable filters
Recommend to pre-wash with soap and water before installation. They only worked first 2 days and now are working fine after washing and wetting the filters.

Depending on water quality
Works ok for about 1 winter. After the 3rd cleaning, they only last a few days. It really depends on what’s in your water. I cleaned mine, by the instruction sheet, with muriatic acid. It will not clean everything out of the filter, therefore it shortens it’s life. It’s just sad to think there is that much crap in my city water. Read full review...
