I tried to watch 4400 when it came out on network TV but missed significant portions and gave up. Having the whole series in hand and able to watch multiple episodes back to back is great especially with the cliff hangers and plot twists. The show has strong characters and relationships that keep you involved along with the main story line and subplots to follow. The 4400 a great Syfi for the whole family

I really liked the 4400 while it was still playing on TV every week, problem was that I missed the last few shows. A few weeks ago I was looking at DVD's on Ebay and saw The 4400 listed and the price was pretty good, So I went ahead I hit buy it now. This show is put together really well and there is nothing in it that would turn you off, and is great for families. 4400 people where taken from the past, and from different times, then changed some how and dropped off all in the same time, some from up to 50 years ago! Some of the people who return start to get powers and have no idea what is going on. The rest of the world do not know what to think, some want to know more about them while others just want them to be locked up! I wont tell any more about this show, but I can say it is well worth your time and money! If you do not have much to go around, do what I do. But it, watch it, then put it right back on ebay and get your money back!Read full review...

Great sleeper sci-fi series--better than the X-files

When this series started, it looked like a knockoff of the X-files, but the characters development and shocking revelations make this series more engrossing than the X-files. It has the usual conspiracies and mysteries but it also has a moral and ethical side to the main characters who try their best to do good even when their leaders throw morals and ethics out for the sake of security.

This series is more than a story about people with paranormal abilities. It is about how society deals with them. Even paranormal people deals with good and evil.

It is too bad the series ended after 4-seasons. The last episode did not bring closure to the series and still left many questions. I guess they thought there might have been a movie like those X-file theater movies to close out all the unanswered questions.

In the end, this is a good series to watch, just to see the interesting characters in the series.Read full review...

The 4400 TV Series

I absolutely loved this show and was really disappointed to see it end. The story line was fabulous and could have been expanded on for many years to come. They gave up the "punch line" which was where these people came from too soon. I don't know who lost interest in this TV show but it certainly was not the view public. Shows like the 4400 are so refreshing and intriguing compared to the predictable shows like CSI, Law and Order, NCIS. While I love them as well, the mystic of shows like the 4400,Lost, Ghost Whisperers, Charmed, Angel, Medium, Fast Forward and V offer the viewer more surprise and less predictability. I loved the characters in the 4400 and highly recommend it to anyone who like the element of surprise and suspense.Read full review...

4400 Series

I had never even heard of the series prior to buying the complete set. I started watching the first season and was hooked. Every night for 4-5 nights I watched until I fell asleep. It just kept building and building to the final episode and then bla? Wasn't too happy with the ending. It just left you wondering, "What happens next?"
