Looks good, poor fit

I replaced the Mercedes emblem on the hood with this one. It looks like it should, crisp clear colors. The problem was the fit. This emblem is held on with two spring loaded clips however the clips were not designed properly and would not hold this emblem to the hood. This hood emblem is an easy to install replacement for the original MB Classic Star hood ornament that sticks up.

The hood ornament got knocked off at the drive through car wash. With this version, I don’t have that issue anymore.

Fairly easy to install, clean finish.

This takes a bit more than just pushing it in, but it's still simple to do given simple hand tools. Getting the old emblem base out was the hardest part. The new one fit well, but I needed to manipulate the clips from the bottom of the hood to get it to snap into place. It does not fit the hood. C300. ought with it for a while then tossed it.
Cheap plastic anyway. would not have lasted like the original OEM anyway, which is metal.

Item does not fit my 2002 E430, I had to modify one side of the clip end to fit, the 2002 E430 has too different size slots in the hood.
