No beans in the pods.
My first purchase of vanilla beans. The were very soft (almost squishy), didn't have the best odor, and when cutting the pods lengthwise as recommended there are no beans in the pods at all. Just some black sludge. Since I have nothing to compare these to, it is hard to say for sure, but I believe that these were probably not the best quality. I have seen the beans in the store before and they looked much better than these. I hope my vanilla turns out.Read full review...
