Foreign Body by Robin Cook

I love many of books written by Dr. Robin Cook. This book may have been one of my favorites. I took it with me on my long trip to India, and had it finished on my way home. Being in the medical realm myself, I find the story lines in his books rivetting! I love the continuance of the minor theme, with Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery. Yet, one can be read out of a particular "order" and still enjoy the tie-ins and placement as characters in the story. Makes me look with great anticipation for the next continuing "saga", while incorporating a whole new area in medicine and surgery, fictitiously.

This book, centering on medical tourism, caught my particular interest as it is a very popular manner to have physical needs taken care of, rather inexpensively. I've considered it myself! I know the city of New Delhi fairly well, and of the inferred AIIMS facilty itself. Evn if one does not know India, at all, Dr Cook gives a clear feel for the country for one to get "caught up" in a place on the opposite side of the globe!

I highly recommend this book, and I am hoping to acquire a signed hard copy!
