Pink Floyd Survives!

I understand all of the contributions that founding member Roger Walters made to Pink Floyd (Songwriting, vocals, bass guitar). But he should have realized that no one is irreplaceable. The other members of Pink Floyd proved that with the release of this album. With guitarist David Gilmore performing the lion's share of songwriting and vocals, "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" is a damn fine album. Supported by such brilliant songs as "Learning to Fly", "The Dogs of War", and "On the Turning Away", this album compares favorably to previous Pink Floyd albums. So if you like "The Wall", "Wish You Were Here" and "Animals", you will like "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" as well.Read full review...

This is the cd to make you say "Roger who?" Pink Floyd's first album with out the diva Roger Waters! They did an awesome job and the album is solid from start to finish! "On the Turning Away" and "One Slip" were one of my favorites along with....it's all good!! If you're a new Floyd fan or an old one this is a must have! The Dogs Of War

In several of my Pink Floyd reviews I went on and on about how much I love Roger Waters. On this one I get to sing the praises of David Gilmour. A Momentary Lapse Of Reason is by far my favorite Gilmour album. Lyrically, musically, and vocally perfect. Every once in a while I get this feeling that I am listening to early Floyd but it only lasts for a second and then the power of this art/rock classic brings me back to my senses. 5 Stars.Read full review...
