Great book from a favorite Youtube creator.
A good book, from one of my favorite You Tube cooking creators, actually a recent video covered his Mexican Lasagna, and he said was referenced in this book. I love books over 2000 hard cover books in my home library, but now retired, the $30 price tag, new from his website was just a bit much. Answer .... ebay, Kent has already made his money from the book ... and the person who bought it originally, just shared it (for a price). Capitalism at it's finest.
With a lot of traditional and non traditional recipes .... I Love it!Read full review...

Cowboys on the range can't "set oven to 350°"
Not being able to preview this book's contents I was left with a surprise. Every "Cowboy Cookbook" I saw at the bookstore contained recipes done in the kitchen, not outdoors. I figured if anyone had authentic cowboy recipes it had to be Chuckwagon specialist Kent Rollins. Nope. Every recipe is done in the kitchen with modern appliances. Only a very few skillet recipes could be recreated on an outdoor campfire. Stay away from this book. Read full review...

An excellent entertaining book!
That is an excellent book, full of recipes, but also inspirational stories and western nostalgia. Kent Rollins also has a utube cooking channel that is well worth looking up!

Cowboy Food
This is a great cookbook.
Good recipes that are fun to make and the stories are great and informative and tie the recipes to the old west ways right to my table. I just found Kent Rollins on YouTube not long ago and I feel I’ve known him a long time. One of those tell it like it is and if you don’t like it, don’t do it and you won’t have anything to complain about guys.
We just don’t have enough people like him anymore.Read full review...

Review of Taste of Cowboy Cookbook
The colors and graphics in the book are beautiful. The pictures are amazing. Has alot of reading content I found informative. I didnt think there were very many recipes and most of them didnt give the dutch oven techniques I was most looking forward too so that is why I gave it a 3 star rating.Read full review...

Kent Rollins "Last of a Breed".
Easy recipes that will work at home or in camp. With practice anyone can convert these recipes to in camp, dutch oven cooking. Temperature control with fire/coals is the key for any outdoor cooking enthusiast. The history of the cowboy way is worth the price of the book without the recipes.Read full review...
