Excellent upgrade for an old laptop
Bought this for a very old Compaq CQ62-215DX with a stock AMD V120 single core 2.2GHz processor. When I booted it up after more than 5 years I really wanted to give it away or throw it away. Before I gave up on it, I googled the upgradeability of this laptop and was surprised to see that it has quite the capability.
Two weeks later, the AMD Phenom II N620 and 8GB of RAM have given new life to the old thing!! It performs almost four times as fast as it did with stock specs.
It does run a little hot considering the heatsink is small and ventilation is subpar, but I can probably reapply the thermal paste to get better results.Read full review...

As described...
Although a little pricier than others on the ebay system, the product was new, never used as promised and performed flawlessly, fast shipping, no issues. Going from single-core 2.3 to to a dual-core 2.8 made a bigger difference than I thought, $25 was cheaper than a new computer!Read full review...

It doesn't make milkshakes
Shipping was snail mail and it had one bent pin. Luckily, it was on the corner and was easy to straighten up. It was worth $6.84 to try. It performs flawlessly thus far. I put it in a Toshiba L675D.

If you haven't upgraded yet, do it now.
I wanted to bump up my Probook 2.1GHZ a bit so I installed this little baby! It didn't roar but it certainly seemed to come back to life like the day I bought it. Windows 7 Pro is getting a little heavy, like all MS products so a little more speed under the keyboard helped a lot. Easy upgrade, easy install and it works very well. I guess the only dislike I can imagine is getting thermal paste on my fingers.Read full review...

The product works fine.
I installed this item in our Compaq laptop and used Windows Experience utility to rate it's performance. There was an increase from 4.3 with the Sempron V120 to 6.3 with the Phenom N620.

Look out for bent pins.
Had some bent pins, worked well once I got it fit into socket.

Excellent processor for the price
Even though it is an older processor it holds up well and is quite smooth in the way it runs
