Windows 7 machine still viable 🖥

Been using a laptop for the last 5 years and got tired of working on such a cramped space. Dusted off a 7 year old desktop computer running an Athlon II dual core processor with 2 GB of RAM. Got on the internet and was incredibly slow! Decided on the economical route and went for the upgrade! Went on eBay for the processor and Craigslist for the RAM. This processor is a life saver and at the core of making this grade work. Now running 4 cores and 6 gigs of RAM and getting through the internet and lite computer work with a breeze. Description of CPU was accurate and provided just the right amount of information to know that it would work in my setup. Product came a described and dropped it right into the mother board with no issues, the pins were all perfect and straight. Did take a little while for processor to become stable, even got a blue screen error. However got it to work , put it through a stress test and has been super stable for the last 5 days. I know obsolescence is inevitable but with just $70 for a new CPU and RAM, I think my desktop has bought itself some time before it hits the big recycling triangle in the sky. Thank you so much for offering this product!!!Read full review...

Phenom II Might be Old Now but It does the Job!

I replaced a dual core Athlon II with this model in my spare file server that I use for media hosting and backups of existing workstations that I have. This quad core is simple yet really effective at it's job. And since this is an older chip it was very cheap for what you are getting.Read full review...

Good upgrade

I used this processor to upgrade a system with a dual core Athlon II. The performance increase has been quite noticeable.

Great Smooth Running, better than dual-core

Installed within minutes. Has worked great. I want say it runs faster than my AMD Dual-core Black Edition running at 3.0, but it definitely makes this computer run so much smoother running multiple apps and other daily tasks. No issues for me, but I do wish I started out with a quad-core (back in the day) because it does make a difference coming from the dual-core. My new computer will be a quad. Yep, yep!!!Read full review...

Upgrading from an AMD Phenom x3 8550 2.2Ghz x3 6.6Ghz Total...

This processor preforms near twice past my old processor as expected. New streaming technology allows me to broadcast with stable Kb/s. The 4th thread drastically improves multitasking and adds another 2.8Ghz to the total overall clock speed of 11.2Ghz.Read full review...
