Processor is a excellent upgrade for older laptop.

Processor allowed me to upgrade from a Athlon X2 1.6 ghz to Turion X2 2.0 ghz . The laptop runs noticeably much faster. It runs a little warmer but nothing the factory heat sink can't handle as long as you clean and renew the heat sink compound and keep the fan and cooling fins clean. AMD TL-60 is cheap and a useful upgrade for many HP dv9000 laptops.

Bought this as an upgrade processor for an HP dv9000 laptop with an AMD cpu. The original processor was a 1.6Ghz. I upgraded the laptop for resale. I have found that having a processor of 2.0Ghz or more increases the street value by about $50. I purchased the "TL-60" for around $10 so it was a good investment.

The only thing I would want more of out of this processor is speed. Obviously, I would need to buy a different more powerful processor for that. This one works well and reliably and is faster than the original.Read full review...

Some Minor Quality Control Issues

Bought the AMD Turion TL-60 processor to replace an intermittent CPU chip in a family member's notebook. This site seemed to have very good prices on used computer parts. The product shipped almost immediately and was packaged well, but upon inspection it was a little dirty and 3-4 pins were more than a little bent. It would not go in the socket. After carefully cleaning the chip and straightening the pins with pliers, the CPU was installed and is working fine. TL-60 worked right out of the gate. Can't beat the upgrade for the money.

Recieved Processor as advertised by seller. Installed in my Compaq V6000 which previously had an MK36 processor. The TL-60 worked fine with no problems. The computer is now much faster when conducting multiple processes.
Note, most blogs do not recommend trying to use a processor ending in DMC for an MK36 processor. But I tried it anyway, as the processor was very inexpensive and I did not have much to lose.Read full review...

AMD Turion 64 TL-60 Performance

After installing this upgrade from a 1.6 GHz single core, the performance increase was substantial. I noticed that tasks which took up up all of the computing power of my previous cpu were done with ease. There is no question that anyone with the ability to upgrade from a single core to this dual core should do so. However, the upgrade process is quite tedious in most cases, and should be done with caution. Even so, the upgrade is worthwhile, and should please any who undertake the process.Read full review...

Excellent Price CPU for Troubleshooting.

The CPU was purchased because of the increadable low price. The purpose of the purchase was to test a Laptop that would not start. The CPU was delivered in 4 days and tested OK 3 days later.
