Extremely lucky I guess

Really seemed to have hit the silicon lottery with this chip and a AsRock Taichi X370 motherboard. OC'd to 3.9 all cores with NO voltage increase. Tried 1.4v and went 4.16 first attempt. 4.2 was stable but could only max it out for maybe 20-30 minutes before my Corsair 80v2 allowed temps to shut it down.

This CPU gets HOT quick under load at that speed !!

Have since returned all settings to Auto and now it fold 24/7 without a hick up.

Wow, this thing is fast!

I installed this on an Asrock AB350M Pro4 microATX motherboard with 32 GB (2x16) RAM, running Virtual Machines. I assigned a few GB of RAM and 2 cores to each VM. Performance is excellent in the guest VMs. So far, host CPU utilization is in the low single digits.Read full review...

AMD CPU is better than Intel but... AMD chip's mainboard is worst in my whole life.

AMD CPU is better than Intel but... AMD chip's mainboard is worst in my whole life.

It killed my SATA SSD and HDD life. and My PC's DATA too. I suggest you to do not use ASROCK mainboard with AMD CPU. It's horrible things.Read full review...

Great performance for the money

Very impressed with the CPU. Its been a few years since I upgraded my computer, so the jump is noticeable. Cinebench score was 1600 without any overclocking. 1600 might not be class leading, but for a stock system I'm impressed. Just comparing scores between some friend with more expensive systems the Ryzen 1800X was the clear winner overall.Read full review...

AMD did it again

Low cost super high performance. This CPU outperforms my Intel I7 all over the place. It uses the same AM3+ fan even thought it is an AM4 socket. This means there is a ton of low cost cooling solutions for this chip as well. I think I am going to be buying more of these.Read full review...

Great chip, easy install!

AMD 1800x is perfect for my new computer build. Upgraded from an AMD 8350 and instantly saw an improvement in speed. Planning on buying another one soon for different build.

Fantastic processor for the price

Some people say to get the 1700 or the 1700x and just over clock them, but the performance isn't as good as it would be with the 1800x
. I over clocked mine to 4.2 ghz and it's surprisingly stable. Totally worth it.Read full review...

Best ryzen cpu

Recently wanted to upgrade to a r7 1800x so I can stream and game on the same PC. Huge upgrade over a R5 1400, wasn't to great of an overclocker tho. Managed to get 3.95ghz stable. Anything higher would crash during a render test.Read full review...
