Not better than expected, in fact, slightly worse than expected, but quite a good telephone.
I expected it to be a bit more sturdy - slightly heavier plastic, but to be less bulky - particularly the thickness (height) of the handset and of the base.
I didn't expect quite as many buttons as it has - some of them are unnecessary for my usage.
However, these are quite good phones, at a reasonable price, and I am pleased that I purchased them.

AT&T TERRIBLE PHONE!

This phone is a joke! The tab to keep the receiver hung up if it is used as a wall phone is too short and doesn't work. It can not be used as a wall phone and it is poor quality, light weight and truly a terrible product. AT&T made the most reliable, useful and durable phones for many years and now their products are terrible. The cordless home phones are a bad version of a good product they used to make. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.Read full review...

Perfect for my elderly father

My father who is in his late 80's and who's mind is giving him trouble had issues dialing his traditional kitchen wall phone that has hung there since the late 1950's. Basically, he could not look at a number and then remember it to dial it on the wall. With this phone, he can look at the number and put the phone beside it on his table and dial the number without a mistake. Also with the receiver connection on the handset instead of on the wall, it makes it easier for him to make multiple calls. Its made cheaply compared to the old "trimline" phones and I think it may crack if its dropped but what ISNT made cheaply today? For my aging father, once he learned to use it instead of his traditional wall phone, its perfect. Read full review...

Great Landline phone at an affordable price!

I still love the vintage AT&T 210 Basic Trimline Corded Phone. I was so happy to be able to purchase another AT&T 210 phone from Ebay when my mother's old phone would no longer work! What a great price, I love the white color, the sound is very clear and very audible, and what a quick delivery! I am very happy and very pleased with this AT&T 210 Trimline phone!Read full review...

Reasonably priced, great features.

Still like having a landline in my home and this phone offers all pros and no cons. I love the sound volume control, the shut off ringer and the large lit dial buttons. The sound quality is excellent. Read full review...

Good volume control

There are three levels of volume. On the loudest setting, it would be too loud for a person with normal hearing, but a hard of hearing user would like this feature. The handset is lighter than what they weighed decades ago for the same model phone. You can also program phone numbers into the call list to make it possible to push only one number to call someone. With a 20 foot coiled wire attached I can move around the living room and still have the ability to make new calls. The sound quality is great.Read full review...

Nothing fancy here, Just really good basics!

I use this phone as a line tester phone. I have 12 phone jacks in my house and often do different configurations. So, when I do maintenance and upgrades on lines I use this phone as a test phone to make sure everything is installed and maintained fine. Works great and is the model phone I had for about 20 years of my life so there's a little nostalgia too :)Read full review...

Good basic phone for a great price!

I wanted to write this review to let future buyers know that phone is great except for the fact that when attached to wall it did not hold the handset. I bought this for my in laws and my hubby installed this...replacing my in laws old but similar phone..hubby had to reuse old base to be able to hang phone on wall. The new base did not catch the handset well enough to hold it up. I guess this is great for a desk phone and not for hanging.Read full review...

Great, inexpensive phone

This is a great phone at a low price. The feature I like the most is the high, low or off ring tone. Most phones have high or off. I like to set mine on low. I also like that it is a switch on the outside of the phone and I don't have to go to a menu to change it. Nice and simple.Read full review...

Easy to set up.

This phone was easy to set up and program. I used my old cord because it was longer. I wish that I would have gotten a cordless, but I didn't know that I could because it is a landline. I would recommend this phone to anyone who just wants a basic phone without a lot of unnecessary frills.Read full review...
