Does the trick just be cautious.

I put a splash of this on a rag and rubbed down my door seals and it swelled them up just enough to close off any air leaks. Also put a couple of ounces in my engine oil and drove the car for about 3 hours (my job takes me all over town and operate out of it for most of it). The claim is after 5 hours it will start to renew tha engine seals/gaskets. I checked my engine a couple of days later and it looks to be doing what it states, my normally leaking valve cover gaskets don’t seem to be leaking any more. (Have read a lot of reviews that state NOT to put this in your oil without immediately driving it or at least running the engine at idle for a good 10-15 minutes as to mix it with your oil. Do not just pour it in and allow it sit as it seams to remove the paint from the inside of the oil pan if it happened to be painted. Then the paint particles clog the oil pump strainer and could cause a failure.
As I stated earlier I only put in about 2oz of the bottle and drove it a few hours. I drive every day and have no issues with clogs or leaks.

Does AT-205 stop Cadillac Northstar engine oil leak?

Cadillac started leaking oil after about 190K miles. Remedy for leak is engine removal, disassembly, and reseal, at a cost of up to $5,000. So I tried 2 8 oz. bottles of AT-205. The leak was not stopped, but it was reduced by about half. Other stop leak products did not work at all. All things considered, I was pleased. I can keep driving the Cad while I look for another one.Read full review

Preventative Maintenance

I drive an old van Honda Odyssey with 267K miles I bought on Craigs List for 1600 bucks two years ago! Does not leak or burn any oil! I want to keep it that way so this product I run in my engine oil and transmission fluid! Just one bottle to transmission only and every other oil change one bottle to engine oil. It keeps all the rubber seals in engine oil and transmission fluid soft and pliable. When oil seals get hard and brittle such as rear main seal or valve seals then begin to leak oil. Scotty Kilmer on YouTube recommends this additive and he is right on again! James Read full review

Rejuvenator

I use this product in the engine, transmission and power steering. It is polymer based and rejuvenates or restores all rubber rings and gaskets to help stop leaks. It is a little pricey though.

This stuff works amazingly well! Our Suburban was leaking about a quart a week, sometimes more. Put this in. Now it doesn't let a drip out.
