Spend a little more and be happier.

The sound quality is average at best,any volume increase and they crackle. Good for front or center surround. I bought them for the inside of my boat. I replaced them already with infinity speakers. Acoustic Audio 151B Speaker

Purchased a set of 12 speakers for use on my houseboat. They are connected to a Jensen VM9213 head unit (12v car type audio). I am very happy with the sound quality. However, I am disapppointed in the mounting brackets, which I didn't look at closely before purchase. They use a single bolt that is mounted on a ball joint. Great for positioning the speaker direction, but difficult to mount. You have to predetermine the direction, assemble the base and ball joint bolt, affix base to the wall, then screw the entire speaker on to the bolt. You need 5.5 inch clearence from any obstructions to make this happen, so forget mounting in tight places. And then there is the task of getting the speaker wires connected. (I used a mirror so I could see where the wores had to go.)Read full review...

Sturdy Fair Quality Sound

Still testing these, put them up on the garage. Good sounding Mids and Highs but cannot handle much Bass. Overall the sound is crisp and travels far can hear them two houses away at 1/4 volume. Would be great surround speakers. Heavy and well built houseing with one flaw the mounts are cheap and wont keep the speakers in place the tighteners are cheap plastic. For the price and application they are a good buy, but will need a seperate bass speaker.Read full review...

Good product for the money

Excellent sound quality,heavy built for the size only disappointment was in the mounting as you can see there is a mount hole directly under speaker wire inputs and then one directly under that on the bottom so it doesn't give much for use in different applications I did however drill a hole on opposite end and installed a nutsert to enable the use of a C channel type mount that I fabricated and installed them under the roof of my Polaris Ranger and as I stated they sound very goodRead full review...

Worth twice the price!

I have been using these speakers for a few years. I have a pair in my shop along with a small powered subwoofer. I never get tired of listening to them. I also use 5 of them for my home theater and use 2 of them with my computer.
These speakers are the best "mini" speakers out there whatever the price.
I have been a musician and audio engineer for years and these are the speakers I recommend for anything other than a large dance hall or similar. You can't go wrong with these gems.Read full review...

At the price point of these speakers, they are a good value. However, they are NOWHERE near "audiophile" sound quality. They have what I would call decent mid-bass (nothing below 100Hz). They are of good build quality.

I have been using these speakers in my garage/shop for about a year and a half now and they get used almost daily with no issues of any kind. I have them connected to a JVC home surround sound receiver capable of 120 watts RMS per channel. These speakers are awesome! They offer crisp highs and deep bass without distortion even at high volume levels. It's hard to believe that so much great sound can come from such small speaker cabinets.
