Squadron/Signal "Air Force Colors, Vol. 2 1942-1945"

As an avid plastic modeller I think that all Squadron/Signal products are corner stones of any good reference collection. While all of the photographs are top notch it's the artworks of Don Greer, Lou Drendel and the rest that really pulls you in. Air Force Colors, Vol.2, as Volums 1 and 3, are excellant books covering the span of the Army Air Force from it's inseption throughout the war years on all fronts. While fairly comprehensive covering camoflage, unit markings, national insignia and their placement it also covers the myriad of aircraft type in the USAAF inventory. This three vol. set, first offered in 1979, is on its second printing now but I am on the third set having wore out the first two. That's just how good a book it is and shows just how often I used it for information and inspiration.
