Great price great piece of equipment,I'm very pleased

It's five star because I took a chance buying it not knowing if it worked or not .and with it not having the power supply to verify that it would power up or not.i was skeptical that it would work. But they assured me that if it didn't I could return it.so I bought it .found the correct power supply and it worked perfectly .I had one just like it but it got damaged by a friend of my son. They don't make this unit any longer but it's a great one to have in my collectionRead full review...

Alesis 3630 Compressor Limiter with gate....

I am a DBX man all the way.... I bought one of these for a low budget DJ set up for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours and very small parties. I am very surprised. It virtually sounds the same as the DBX model in the same category. The only difference is these are unbalanced, which means they are not for a professional system. It takes 1/4 inch jacks only. Also, these need a power supply. DBX units run off A/C plugs. If you can purchase one of these, used for under $60 bucks, including shipping, you are getting a great deal. I gave it only 3 stars because it's an unbalanced unit. But, for what I'm using it for, it's a fine product. It's not to be used for recording studios or 5,000 watt audio systems.... Enjoy. A must for karaoke

I run karaoke shows. Some singers whisper, some scream. Some disks are recorded loud, some not. I use two units. One for music, one for singers. It goes a long way in helping to keep a consistent sound level. It boosts soft singers that normally are hard to hear and limits the screamers. Same with music. Good sounding and easy with a caveat

The compressor sounds good and works well except for an issue with the noise gate on one of the channels which becomes "insensitive" after a period of time i.e. the threshold moves higher. It seems almost random but I suspect that may be the reason this item was such a deal. Read full review...

Coloured sound and quality

We hot rodded which helped a lot. Distinctive box that colours sound for an effect. Easy to over do. Not that musical to be honest but its own kind of thing. It has a place. Our boxes run a lot cleaner than factory sound and a bit softer tone.Read full review...
