Alexander; history brought to life

the movie was an epic in the truest sense. It featured scenes that we all shared from our collective memories/ stories told of Alexander the Great. Naturally, a favorite scene was the uniting of Bucephalus with the young Alexander. The imagery could not have been rendered any more accurately according to what my mind's eye had conjured. The beautiful black horse shying from his shadow, the young boy leaping up on the bare back of the horse and galloping out of the arena to the approval of the crowd and the obvious pride of his father Phillip. This vignette and every other, was all that could be wished for in the telling of the tale of Alexander the Great. Then This is the film for you to DVD appears to be beyond reasonably priced it’s a group effort to for everyone I do not recommend this for anybody under the age of 18 due to blood and sexual content.

Amazing movie True story of world's greatest warrior

We had just seen this over the weekend at a friends. I wasn't sure I would like it until we began to watch it. It's loaded with a great cast like Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Rosario Dawson, Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer, Jared Leto, Connor Paolo, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Ian Beattie, Brian Blessed. This movie and its characters are amazing, the best Alexander I have seen is Collin Farrell, and Angelina Jolie is fantastic as his mum...Val Kilmer as his dad, the king spectacular...A must watch

This movie was high action with a lot of battle scenes. It had good acting, but was a little boring toward the end. I bought it because Anthony Hopkins was in it but he played a small role.

Okay but I thought he was not great. I thought he was a very selfish king

To much about Alexander and War and not enough about Angela Jolies character and relationship with her son.
