All the Pretty Horses (DVD, 2001)

More of a love story between man/woman than between man & horses....

I only got it because singer Raul Malo is in it....all maybe 10 seconds!!!! I was somewhat upset about this... I was hoping he'd have a longer time. Movie was interesting BUT slow at times...some scenes would appear and you'd wonder how'd the characters get there? And as per what I surmized....the 'hero' did not get the girl in the end. A Great Movie

This movie is set about 15 or 20 years before my own forays in Mexico and the Texas border country. Part of what I love about this movie - I've seen it three times over the years - is the fidelity to the sorts of characters and the look of things. I also enjoy the various characters acting according to who they are which is both their downfall and deliverance. There's some excellent dialog in this script, too.Read full review

Just about as good as the book.

Wonderful entertaining film. I love it and have seen it many times. It is such a good story one doesn't get tired of it and I seem to discover something new each time I watch it. Do yourself a favor and add this to your library of films if you appreciate great writing, or better yet, buy the book, read it and watch the film. You won't be disappointed.
