Surpassed Expectations

Seriously, I used to make fun of Amazon Kindles. "Nothing can beat the look and feel of a real book!" Well, dang, this thing surprised me. I find myself reading significantly more than I ever did before. It's super lightweight, it fits tons of books, the batter life almost seems endless, and I can read in dark places without setting up lighting. I also love the nifty features (being able to click on a footnote and have it pop up as a window instead of flipping to another page... looking up words... highlighting.... connecting with GoodReads). I was a disbeliever, then became an instant fan. Read full review...

I love the Kindle Voyage!

I love the screen, the page press buttons, and the auto brightness features, but I do wish the battery lasted longer. Maybe I read a lot (43 books so far this year), but I have to charge it every week. I normally wait and charge the device on Sundays because it is loses all of its charge at the end of the week. The WiFi works good, unlike my Kindle Paperwhite that loss WiFi signal everyday and it had to be restarted. The only device I might trade this for is the 32GB Kindle Oasis, but some people are telling me that is is very uncomfortable to hold, so I might stick with my Kindle Voyage much longer. It is the best e-Reader I have used so far! I hope the Kindle Voyage has its Bluetooth chip activated so I can use Audible. Thanks!Read full review...

100 % would buy this Kindle over and over as long as I can find them. I will even buy an extra to keep for the future.

I was not impressed with the paperwhite but I decided to try the Voyage after my two keyboard models started to have problems. I LOVE this kindle and was so disappointed when I saw that they had discontinued this model. So I was thrilled to find this product on Ebay so I bought one for myself as a backup and one for my daughter who still has the keyboard. I also have a touch which does not have the lit screen and I read all the time so the Voyage gives me nothing but excellent results. I would never buy a Oasis and though some in my family have the Fire I have no interest in watching movies or tv on a e-reader. I also still am not impressed with the paperwhite other than the new waterproof feature might be nice. I love the weight, clear screen and adjustable brightness.Read full review...

Lightweight and super easy to read

Love my new Kindle. I already have the Kindle app for iPhone and iPad, but what I really like about my Kindle Voyage is (1) how light it is and easy to carry around in my suit jacket so I can grab a couple of minutes everywhere when I want to read, and (2) the screen is lit different from the iPhone and iPad so it is MUCH easier on my eyes. It's not good for pictures. Even black and white pictures are hard to size properly and examine. But for text, there is nothing better.Read full review...

A great 'reading' device for all lighting conditions.

I really enjoy this Voyage 'reading' device and it is great no matter what the light conditions.
My only complaint may be when it is flipped open in the case, the edges of the case are a bit sharp for holding it. (not dangerous, mind you, just not smooth and comfortable)
But you must be aware that it has no audio abilities, e.g. music, or Audible book reading. Also it doesn't accept Kindle games, or utility apps, such as weather. If not for these couple of things, I'd have given it five stars instead of four.
For strictly reading books, it is a fully functional, great device and the device software lets you easily navigate and customize your reading preferences.

Great Kindle Voyage

I got a great deal on a used Kindle Voyage which came with the Amazon premium leather case. I'm not sure if it's worth the $200 price tag over the standard Paperwhite. The resolution is the same at 300 dpi, but it is still a little more clear. The screen is flush vice inset and that may be part of the difference in clarity. The page turn buttons a re a nice feature, but not really necessary. If you really love using your Paperwhite and can score a deal on sale or a used one, then it's probably worth it to upgrade; I'm glad I did.Read full review...

Plunge ahead to the past!

I did pay a premium price for the new outdated Kindle Voyage (I overlooked the $10 coupon --my bad). It does appear to be absolutely new and it works as well as my original Voyage did in 2014. The battery life seems about as good as one would expect of a lithium battery left fully discharged for several years. That said, battery life doesn't seem a whole lot worse than on my brand new Kindle Oasis. I do love the ergonomics of the Voyage much better than the Oasis. I'm very happy with this purchase.Read full review...

Just like new

I sat on my old Kindle shattering the screen and it soon stopped working. Exact replacements being unavailable from Amazon, I tried aBay. The factory refurbished one I found. is a perfect replacement. It’s just like having my old, loved Kindle back. The case and display are flawless. The battery life seems about the same. It’s exactly what I hoped I’d get.Read full review...

Makes me love reading again

I thought I'd get away with just using my iphone with kindle app for reading, but I tried my son's Kindle Voyage and loved it so much, I bought one off eBay for myself. It's so much more comfortable on my eyes than my iPhone (or iPad), I now read more than ever because of it. It's so light, I just take it with me everywhere -- much lighter than a book, and I like the fact that I have my entire Kindle library with me so I can pick and choose to read whatever suits my mood at the moment. I used to love reading, but I stopped reading for enjoyment for many years just because I had so much other things to do and didn't want to drag my books around with me. Ever since I purchased my Kindle Voyage, however, I'm enjoying reading again.Read full review...

Straight forward and practical!

The Voyage delivers exactly what it promises and not a drop more. The battery life is long but not as long as it promises on paper--possibly because of the 3G feature vs. non-3G.
Feels fantastic in the hand, perfect size I think for reading and breezing through literature without eye strain. Even in a completely dark room or direct sunlight I no problems reading. Also the added page turn feature on the sides of this model are a thoughtful convenient feature.
Overall I would suggest this device, although it can get a bit pricey when you add 3G, no ads and a case. You can easily push $300.
