Cerulean Sins by Laurell K. Hamilton
Laurell K. Hamilton's vampire executioner & necromancer, Anita Blake, is back with a vengeance in the 11th book of the series. In Cerulean Sins, the sexy federal marshal is faced with a plethora of problems all at once. A serial murderer is on the loose around St. Louis, & it looks like it's the work of a rogue werewolf or some kind of insane shape-shifter. Anita's friend Jason is implicated by Dolph Storr, the ill-tempered head of the Regional Preternatural Investigation Team, who appears to be on the verge of a very violent nervous breakdown. While investigating the crime scenes, Anita realizes that 2 suspicious men are tailing her, (the scenes in the jeep are fantastic) & 1 turns out to be a known international terrorist. The complicated, centuries-long relationship between Jean-Claude and Asher is at a breaking point, & Anita decides to help these two mend their relationship with each other by letting Asher & Jean claude resume their relationship (it becomes a menage trio). Actually there are several menage trio's developing and i love it! and I absolutely love Nathaniel,Jason, Micah (whose book will be out in feb 06) & jean claude and richard. I read these more for the relationships between the characters than the "police detective aspect" incubus dreams goes even further in developing the relationships and i can't wait for danse macabre to come out in july 06. i think we (she) owes at lot to marianne for helping her resolve some of her issues. i love that nathaniel and micah take care of her, i love those scenes especially nathaniel's they make me smile. If you like vampires and werewolfs and romance, these are the books for you!Read full review...

I'm a big fan of the Anita Blake stories. I've read the first 10 books prior to this one and I tell you, just when you think what more possibly could Anita do she surprises you! My husband is my witness to tell you that it is sooooooo difficult for me to put ANY of these books down once started! Would highly recommend this product to others- its jam-packed with a mixture of action, seductiveness and mystery. It will definately keep you on your toes!Read full review...
