greatest movie ever this is the greatest film ever made I watched it to much so many times first on VHS and then on DVD love this film so much, and you finally get to see it in Widescreen in USA ONLY problem with DVD IS it does not have light camera Annie NBC special on the Dvd. otherwise is great Duffy and Tessie are very funny in this movie love her catch phrase oh My Goodness and when Duffy takes of Roster glasses also if you only saw it on full screen you are missing a lot of the movie, like when the 6 orphans tell daddy Warbucks that Annie was kidnapped, you see them & sandy in the widescreen version and when the sing your never fully dressed without a smile, only wish Columbia would release a Dvd or Blu ray version with the NBC special and the Minute maid Ads on a Sad note R.I.P. Annie Widescreen DVD, in the States.

I like the product for the Widescreen viewing. To Pan & Scan this (or any film) is JUST PLAIN WRONG! The film 'Annie' was re-released with 5.1 surround dolby digital & DTS, but only in Pan/Scan format in America (or DVD region 1). Yet they let Europe have a Widescreen DTS 5.1. What's up with that? Not only are we sending our jobs over seas, lets give them the good copies of OUR movies too!? In any event, the older, out of print, release of 'Annie' in 2.0 surround was suprisingly of great picture & sound quality. It really deserves an Excellent review... if I didn't know better ones are out there... for some other region to enjoy.Read full review...

Perfect for Family Night!

I remember this movie from when I was a kid. Loved it so much my mom got me the soundtrack for Christmas, which I wore out!

The cast is great! Carol Burnett and Tim Curry are deliciously evil as brother and sister trying to scam Annie's benefactor, Daddy Warbucks - played by the great Albert Finney. The rest of the cast includes Bernadette Peters, Ann Reinking and Aileen Quinn as Annie.

The music is fun and will have you singing and dancing long after you finish watching the movie. Highly recommended - for just about everyone!Read full review...

I bought this dvd for my five year old granddaughter for her birthday. I want her to love musicals the way her grandmother and I do. Annie is a great musical for both children and adults. Great Family Movie

Great old time story that I used to watch with my children when they were growing up. It brings back so many memories I decided to get a copy of this original DVD while it still it available. our 4 year old granddaughter now lives with us. she loves to sing. it is very hard to find the classic musicals in the stores, and when you do, they are expensive. i bought this cd for a reasonable amount of money and it gets played frequently. without ebay, i may not have been able to afford the amount of musicals and classics i have bought for her.Read full review...
