Lightweight with great features

Looked at 2016 Welding helmet ratings on the internet. This Antra model was at the top of the list and was rated against Miller, Lincoln, and others. This helmet is lightweight and very comfortable. Auto darkening works great and the head band is easily installed and adjusts quickly. It has adequate viewing room when performing any task. Cheap but Good

Got this to do some welding on a few things so I didn't want to spend $200 on just a helmet.
Once you get the sensitivity set for the conditions you're in it works fine.
Being outside on a sunny day will trigger it to darken faster than being in a garage but that's easy to fix and only takes a second.
I recommend finding what works best and marking those spots so you know at a glance nothing got out of adjustment and you dont get flashed.
If that knob on the outside gets moved to the grind setting and you start to weld you're not going to like what happens.
Its not heavy at all so wearing it for extended periods of time isnt bad.

Great helmet!

I've been welding for over 40 years, and have always used Huntsman or similar professional helmets. The Antra is light, has a very positive ratchet headgear, and the nod-down action is very smooth and dependable. But the best part is the adjustability - being able to adjust shade and sensitivity is very useful. I would recommend this helmet for any beginner or experienced welder.Read full review...
