Spare Cables Are A Must-Have
I learned a while back that Apple cables don't last forever. I also realized that it was a good idea to have a few extras, one for home, one for the car, one for the workplace, and backup cables when one wore out. The life span of these cables (with daily use) is only a few months, and at about the six-month mark, the soft cable casing starts to shred and expose the wires, so it's time to replace.
That is the only reason I give these cables a 4-star rating; it would be great if Apple would or could design a sturdier, longer lasting cable. They're easy to use, and provide a great connection for charging Apple devices.

The cord is high quality but not quite the same as my other Apple produced cords. The markings were different, and the size and shape of the plug were different. I compared to several known Apple cords I own. But, the cord seems of high quality materials and the end plugged into the Apple TV fits just fine. Watching and Waiting
Currently is an excellent product.I really appreciated seeing the official stamp of manufacturing (all parts made by apple) on the pictures posted online prior to purchase. With regret I have purchased other cables that were advertised as apple products from other sellers only to find out that they were merely apple compatible and not truly an apple product. These cables then broke down with in three months. It has not yet been three months since I received this purchase so I am watching and waiting with curiosity.
