An Excellent Used Apple Laptop with a very Large 17-Inch Screen at a very Inexpensive Price for It!
I bid for it and won it at a very good price and use it every day, but the screen markings (the line down the middle that looks sort of like a "racing stripe") is starting to bug me so next month, after I get my money, I am going to take the computer down to a shop that fixes computers to find out how much a new (or good used) computer screen would cost to have it installed on the computer; but otherwise, the computer works perfect for me so far and has a large screen (biggest one I have ever had for a laptop), which is excellent for me since i am getting old and it's hard for me to see things on smaller screens than it used to be for me. As one that has owned many PCs, latops and towers, this MacBookPro 17"is the finest laptop Ive ever owned. I say this inspite of my buying it 2nd hand and 3 years old. It still runs almost every game and office application I own. After installing a virtual machine and making use of the BootCamp dual booting features, Im able to run my Windows Vista programs either in native windows or concurrently within the MacOS-X Snow Leopard platform. It is also the most stylish and sleek system Ive seen to date. I say this as the MBP is the first Mac computer Ive owned (not including the iTouch and iPhone). Sure I wish I had a newer and faster model, but I paid 1/3 or 1/4th the price of a new one. So Im more than content.Read full review...
I like this computer. It is a unique refurbished computer.
This was not your typical 17 inch MacBook Pro but a dual boot refurbished one with Lion and Windows Ultimate. There is a very large hard drive ,a faster processor and a lot of memory. It is like having two computers in one. I am a gamer and can do both Mac and Windows games on it. I really like the Photo Booth feature,typical to all MacBook Pro's.
There are drawbacks however. You have to buy programs,including anti-virus,for both sides.That can be costly.Some game sites are not designed to work on a dual boot machine. They will only work on one side of it,the Mac side. If you talk to a tech from a company they will tell you at first they do not know how to work on this computer until they go to their boss who tells them what to do.
Viewing just the features of the original computer,It is a bit heavy but has a sturdy metal casing. The larger screen is just right but then I have a 26 inch monitor for my Window desk top computer.

It arrived in great condition and was ready to use right out of the box. I am typing this on the laptop now. I am very impressed with it! It has a good , clear screen that has no dead pixels on it. I use it more than I use my other laptop. Comparatively speaking this laptop is super fast compared to Windows. The ONLY con that i have seen so far is that it is a bit heavy, but the e fact that it is faster than my new HP more than makes up for that fact. I also like the fact that the keyboard is lit up so that you can actually see the letters and it is not a blinding light, just enough to not have to strain your eyes. If you have a Ipad, and you want something that could be a companion to it,,,,,,,You will not go wrong buying this machine. It comes preloaded with Itunes, Notes, and more apps. The Apple Magic Mouse 1 that i have connected right up to it, no additional down load needed. The keyboard is big and the touchpad is easy to use also.
