good as a starter now

we wanted a less expensive i-pad for my son do use during therapy. We didn't want to invest a lot as we are anticipating he will be on video therapy less than a year. We found this works well, maintains a sufficient amount of battery life and provides enough system resources to do what we need him to do. If you are looking for high powered or the latest technology, don't look here. Your standards should not be too high if you are looking at a 2nd gen. I-pad at this point.Read full review...

I think that Apple has created a great piece of technology. I like the iPad, because you can use it in more ways than one. You can play your music,read books,planner equipped,Email,Text, FaceTime action, Games and APPS that can help you keep track of you bills on the move. One of my koolest features is that it connect right to you iPhone and you can text message. That's kool. I bought cause its really it's light weight to carry around instead of my Laptop. I think that if you can afford one invest in it cause you will see why an iPad is better better than any other Tablet. The only thing that I dont like about this Product is that fact that it does not have USB Ports, but I guess that will be in Apple's next generation iPads.Read full review...

Useful, reliable, long battery life and very convinient.

If you are looking for great, fast, reliable and long battery life tablet then choose iPad 2. Great availability of Apps, content, accessories - this is only the first part of great experience. Sorry to say for competitors, but they are still not in this league.
Real minuses of the product only visible in certain usages:
1) its not a computer, but an entertainment and content consumption device
2) no support for external flash cards (even with external card reader you'll not have expected experience);
3) low quality of both cameras (please notice that for videochats with Skype and Facetime its more then enough)
4) No Flash support that only visible at some sites;
5) you have to buy a case, if you'd like to save great cosmetic shape.

Bottom line - great product and good tool for browsing web, reading boks, casual games and etc. Greatly recomended as it worth every cent.Read full review...

Perfect Condition In Perfect Working Order

This iPad was perfect and is working perfectly, it was an excellent buy. I find I use it more often than my Macbook Pro. I take it everywhere and read all my reading media material on it, I don't use hard copy at all anymore. The touch screen feature is invaluable, I gave one to my computer challenged brother and he finds it so much easier than a computer or laptop he's on it all the time, this is an excellent product for people that are older of just don't do computers, much easier and easier to understand and used.Read full review...

Superb migrations from iPad1 to iPad2 enhancements are immediate!

Coming from the first generation iPad, I'm very pleased with the second generation iPad. I am not one to be the first in line to get the latest and greatest. I always see benefit in waiting until all the kinks are worked out and purchasing after the line waiters grow tired of the latest n' greatest. The face time was the big deal for me and for those that use Skype you will see leaps and bounds over the first generation. I purchased the 3g wifi 16gb used off eBay and do not regret it at all. Currently, I haven't even enrolled in the 3g service and find the wifi speed superb. Now, I am admitful I will need 3g service where wifi is not available but since I have wifi at work and home I'm good for right now. The other thing I noticed is movies seem clearer and smoother. And I can't say enough about the CLOUD, great inventions because you do not have to keep sync devices (iphone, ipad) to the PC to get updates from iTunes. I don't get to use it!

My wife loves it and uses it to call over seas to her mother and a mutual friend of ours. She also listens to Vietnamese opera which to me sounds like the neighbors cat in heat or if there are more than one singer several cats in heat. It is unfortunately loud with good fidelity which I can hear all over the house when she doesn't wear her ear buds. I am very hard of hearing and I hear it too well.Read full review...
