does not work in my car

I bought this ipod because my car has an ipod jack, so i can listen to music from the ipod, my old ipod works. This ipod has different connector doesn't fit in my car, I bought an adapter, still can not see who is playing on my car screen, and can not change songs, but, I do hear music, and able to use the volume control.

Ordering the original cable to resolve connection to itunes

It looks great a bit of damaged but all and all very good purshase. The only isue is that itunes does not detect it. I bought this device to use for pictures, FaceTime, and most importantly music. It's good, came how it was supposed. The only thing that I dislike about the iPod is the battery life but I'm just going to replace the battery no biggie. IT ONLY GOES UP TOO 9.3.5 so most new apps won't work.
