APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE, 4TH GEN.

Outside of the following issue, this iPod is excellent. Had I known it was so easy to operate and hold all the songs I truly love in such a small package, I would have purchased one earlier. Issue: According to the instructions, I should be able to press the VOICE OVER BUTTON once to hear the current song being played; this feature does not work. What can be done about this? Can I simply get a replacement and send the defective one back? Please advise. Otherwise I love it. Thank youRead full review...

Easy to carry; serves its purpose as a simple music device for walking/running.

The earphones are very poor. My earphones from my previous iPod Shuffle (2nd generation, I believe, 2009) are much, much better. I don't believe the voice-over function works. It does hold many more songs. Overall, not a better product from the older version.Read full review...

The New and Improved "2nd Generation iPod Shuffle" Transformed!

This nifty little iPod shuffle is magnificent to say the least. This iPod has a very generous battery life (~15hrs), is very small and compact, and has a few new added features taken from the previous Generation iPod Shuffle, while keeping the design of the second Generation iPod Shuffle. The only reason why this iPod gets a 4/5 overall is because it should have kept the design EXACTLY like the second Generation iPod Shuffle; the problem with the new design is that when the user is trying to apply the clip onto some piece of apparel, he/she is likely to hit a button whilst using the clip; this creates a fear that overtime, it may wear out the button's durability. Overall, great item, no regrets.Read full review...

yes worth the money for everything...sound, size etc..

excellent value for your money! controls very small sometimes i need to look and make sure i'm using correct one... smaller than i thought! needs repeat control!!battery life is great. i work 8 hours a day and listen to it on my way to work and on my way home (20min.each way),and still mow lawn when i get home and then i charge it!!! but the shuffle is great the sound with ear buds are just awesome~~~~hear every word and blocks out noise...i have to have mine on low because loud speaker at work is difficult enough to hear without ear buds so,,,i listen to it low at times but have had it on very load at times and it still sounds so good..===so this all equals yes great value great sound great everything...other than the small controls but i still love it!!Read full review...

Good product just make sure it's what you want!

I purchased this item because I had lost my first Ipod, one that I used in my car as well on my bike. I was used to being able to select playlists, etc. This one, though having the same amount of storage capacity, doesn't allow me to view my selections as before. I've adjusted to that and am enjoying this device though I miss the option to select my favorites for play. It's size makes it oftentimes easier to carry on bike rides and though I can't view a selection I have the voiceover feature which somewhat compensates. I do sometimes fear losing it because it's so small!Read full review...

Great music system-great design although proprietary.

Last Christmas my niece purchased one of these for my mother who was 86. It was my job to sort it out and load it with music for her. I was so impressed with what I was working with that I purchased one for myself this spring and have been enjoying it ever since. This compact 2GB music system has one in/out, an on/off switch and the famous apple control dial. Pros-compact, easy to use after your read what everything does, no batteries to replace. Great fidelity, ingenious compact design. Cons-Must have an I-Tunes account to sync and load music onto it. Will accept your CD's but you need to rip them into your I-Tunes library (must be in proper apple proprietary format). Sync cord is about an inch long. If you need longer you must buy one. Overall-A brilliant product but would be better if more compatible with other mp3 formats other than AAC. I do not agree with E-Bays star rating system that classifies anything under 5 stars as bad or failure. 3 and 4 star products are good but not perfect. I gave this product a 4 star rating because it is proprietary. It has performed brilliantly and done everything it said it would, and everything I needed it to do as an MP3 player. The problem is that I am a PC user and don't like that my 1000 + CD collection has to be reripped or converted for I-Tunes to load any of the songs onto this device.Read full review...

ipod 4th generation

overall it is a great little unit. just a couple of items that don't work for me.

1) it is very very small so handling it can be a bit tricky. i had a 1st generation which was much easier to manipulate.

2) there is no usb port. it comes with a cable that interfaces between the headphone out and a usb port for charging. in an of itself that is fine but it is limited because one cannot be charging and playing the unit at the same time.

sound quality is great and battery life great.

The iPod shuffle deserves a big hand!

I am amazed at how much music can be stored in a device the size of a postage stamp! After "plugging in" to iTunes, it is quite easy to customize your own music menu. You just check and uncheck boxes. A new 4th gen. iPod shuffle comes with free phone tech support from Apple (a time limit which I can't recall-- 30 days perhaps). This handy little gizmo incorporates a robotic sort of voice over feature, allowing you to scroll through your playlist. The battery life is about 5 hr., not bad! The 4th gen. iPod Shuffle also includes a little clip-- so you can continue on, hands-free. The clip is a bit awkward to handle due to the unit's size, but, with some practice, it will really grab you.Read full review...

Some older thing are better.

Although it is an older Apple product that is no longer made, the Waterproof Shuffle is perfect for use in the pool. It has a new battery, so I will get a few good years out of it. It is easy to program using my iTunes application on my laptop. I don’t have to play with it in the pool except to turn it on and off, unlike the Apple Watch which has more features than necessary for use working out in the pool, so I don’t waste time that I could use instead for a good water workout.Read full review...

I didn't notice any bottom line.

WOW awesome, It is a best music player ever. I love it.

It is a really very good for music. The sound quality is better like no other, its shape and look make every one love this. I have used all kind of music players but apple's sound quality is best. I think they use some kind of different technique.

It is a 4th Gen of shuffle it holds the feature of voice over. There is a button on it, it tells me what is the track playing like name, artist, album name and also it tells me the battery percentage. By this feature we can move to play lists easily, awesome, I love it. I have put on this more than 300 songs and I can locate it so easily by this feature.

Battery life is so good. Believe me I journey 5 - 6 hours, When I put it on from the start I never off or pause it till I got the destination, as I reached the there I usually check the battery percentage, it says 25%. Last Sunday on my journey I was stuck on a journey and it said battery low, but from that moment I listen to music for 2 hours but it didn't go off.

Finally, it is a best music player ever.

Ipod Shuffle...great little thing!

I use my mp3 players with a motorcycle helmet speaker system.
With other players I have to use an in-line amplifier to hear
well over the wind and traffic noise. This little thing does not need an amplifier and the battery lasts all day as opposed to the usual 2 to 3 hours that other players batteries last. Also, once Itunes is set-up and working music transfers are quick and easy; Itunes features make windows media player practically obsolete...it is very user friendly and quite intuitive. This is my first Apple product...I will look closer at apple after this.Read full review...
