Very nice sound đź‘Ť

I just needed a tele neck to go with a bridge humbucker. I figured the ceramic would be a little harder sounding and it kinda is. I put it with a schecter PT bridge pick up, the one with 12 fat pole pieces. They don't look similar at all but they compliment each other very well. It's like 8k ohms, it's four wire so you can split it but I usually find that unsatisfying. Sometimes I like parallel, definitely makes them smoother, but I don't see much point in coil cutting this type of pickup. Anyway, if you need a cheap humbucker to fit in a tele neck this is really nice! I'd do again and very likely will.Read full review...

Blades too narrow

The pickup blades are slightly too short for the string spacing on the Telecaster neck position. The 2 E strings move off the magnetic field as they vibrate on normal strums and picking, causing an unacceptable drop in volume for those two strings.

I compared it to a Barden Tele neck PU and the Barden has wider blades.

Good, but...

Rails should be wider, even just making the rails/bobbins 1/16" wider would make a big difference. My strings are right on the edge of the rails and the low E has some volume drop. The pickup sounds pretty good otherwise. If you have narrower string spacing these will work OK.Read full review...

Good sound compromise

You can't get the glassy sound we love in single coils out of this pickup, but it eliminates the buzzing and grinding like only a humbucker can. Good solution for noise. Good compromise

Rails are 4 mm too short for a tele neck position

The rails are not wide enough to cover he low and high E strings. There is a noticeable loss of power and response on both the strings.

Great pickup

It’s just a great pickup. I trimmed the top coil edges and fitted a nickel cover on it, after I filed the rails flat.

At any price this pickup sounds really, really fantastic, but given the price I find it to be almost impossibly great. Nearly perfect. Now, when you get a wild hair and want to modify a guitar you want to do it TODAY. Well, you won’t be able to do it today, but you’re gonna be able to do it way faster than you think. Which relieves a lot of stress from your impatience. Their shipping is super fast. I’m running out of characters so I’m gonna copy and paste this review for the 2 other pickups I boRead full review...

Artec Hot rail style Telecaster pickup.

Sounds sweet and solves the hum issue at the same time. Excellent choice and a deal, too. Excellent parts dealer I turn to for the good stuff, without paying guitar snob prices.
