Love it!
I did a TON of research before purchasing this item. Out of all the midi keyboard controllers I read reviews for in this price range, this one seemed to have the most positive and in my opinion is the most stylish. It looks great with my portable setup which is factor for me as far as creating a vibe. The keys feel awesome! The pads are a bit stiff so I wouldn’t buy this if you are looking for great pads. The knobs are smooth and everything is responsive. The free software is a cool bonus as well. The pitch and modulation are super fun and easy. It’s plug and play and it feels good and sturdy. It’s a bit on the heavier side, which I suspect is from having quality keys. (I bought a midi controller before this by a different brand and had to send it back because it didn’t work and the keys felt like a child’s toy, this does not!)
Overall I have been very pleased so far! Although I will be looking into a small pad midi to accompany my set because the arturia pads just are not as responsive as I would like.Read full review...

Certain features could be better
In reference to Akai MPK mini 2, this unit is better build quality, much sturdier and heavier mostly because of metal plate at the bottom. Keys are great quality but they are not as expressive as MPK mini. I find the pitch bend and touch mod strip feature very unusable, very hard to have smooth bends especially while writing automation. The knobs are only preprogrammed to Analog Lab, so for everything else you have to manually program them, which was not the case with MPK mini. If mod/pitch bend feature is important to you, I recommend a midi keyboard with the classic wheel design. Just a side note, in MPK mini after two years of usage pitch bend/mod toggle started glitching, then the USB port broke, which would have been replaceable if there wasnt an IC chip right behind it that got broken with it as well. With that said I recommend trying out diferent products aside from popular ones.Read full review...

Arturia good stuff.
For my needs, 25 keys was enuff. Using Minilab as a keyboard fill for recording with home studio. Quality construction and components. pots, knobs and pads all work well. Keys are smaller and unweighted but what do you expect for a low cost product? Read full review...
