Great old Led Zep from the early days

Back in college in the early 70's some stations would play some BBC recordings of different bands. Pink Floyd, Led Zep, etc. The raw power and relatively good sound quality really comes through. A definite buy, if you like early Led Zep...Plant's voice is still good, Page is doesn't sound tired or too stoned. Bonham and Jones supply a the beat. Just great old raw music.Read full review...

I bought this CD because it is one of the band's (IMHO Rock and Roll's) best works...ever. Here is why...

If you appreciate the music, you will find each individual BBC Led Zeppelin recording is a one of a kind Led Zeppelin track. Each early Led Zeppelin track is a testament of the power, creativity and musical range of one of Rock and Roll's most well known groups.

Led Zeppelin obsessed in the studio to reach recording perfection. Broadcasting songs over the air with the BBC (unedited) would be a tall order for the band. A tall order they had to tackle because they knew if they were to grow, it just had to be done...

We now have the BBC Sessions forever !

Nobody, the band, the fans or the critics are looking back and shaking their heads.

Unless it is to rock out to this awesome CD !

Hard rock from late sixties & early seventies

I’m a bluegrass mandolin musician since 1976 but listened to hard rock prior to then.
So listening to these recordings was like candy. I remember most of the tunes from around 1969 and to hear these songs presented with different takes than from the studio LP’s…what a joy!!!
I really feel like this deal was just that, a deal.

BBC Sessions

If you ever get the chance to listen to live Led Zeppelin it is a real treat. However, music quality often varies. This one is and was a treat. I started listening to the old- school rock -n- roll I grew up on again. When I found Led Zep, I had to have it! The CD arrived quickly, and I listened to it all day.
