Amazingly well done, meaningful Barbie DVD

I never have high expectations for Barbie DVD movies, but this one is an exception. Mattel has created a Barbie villainess in Eden Starling, a selfish diva who is the story's Scrooge. Over the course of the movie, Eden reflects on her sterile childhood with an aunt who alienates even Eden's one friend, sees the truth in the lives of the employees she has treated badly, and comes to understand the meaning of Christmas. This is not deep, mind you, but it is certainly more true-to-life and meaningful than one could reasonably expect given that it's a Barbie movie. And, the grandgirls loved it! GREAT FOR THE LITTLE PRINCESS IN YOUR LIFE! BARBIE IS YOUR ALL-AMERICAN TOY! NOW IN AN ALL AMERICAN MOVIE-LOADED WITH LOTS OF FUN, IMAGINATION & THE MORALS AND VALUES YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO LEARN! Wonderful movies

I have always love the classic Barbie Movies. Watching clips from YouTube is nice. But it was great luck to find Barbie as Rapunzel in Bulgarian and Barbie in a Christmas Carol in Russian.I also enjoyed watching them both in Greek which is the Primary language other than English.Read full review...

Another 'Fabulous' Barbie Movie!

This is a great movie to introduce a classic book to your child. No, it is not the same as Charles Dicken's Book, but the general Idea is the same.
The Christmas Carols that they sing are so enjoyable and I love that you can either watch the movie normally or you can set it to Sing-A-Long and anytime a Christmas Carol is sung the words show up on the screen for your child to sing-a-long. Such a Brilliant idea.
As with the other Barbie movies there is a moral to this movie....

Another one for the set

Pros: An easy to watch movie filled with the christmas spirit. The children will enjoy the carols. A great DVD to put on after a busy christmas day to keep the kids occupied.

Cons: This dvd would probably only be watched around christmas time otherwise the carols through out the year would begin to drive you nuts. Once your little girl has seen this movie you will also probably get a lot of begging for the dolls that go with it. (They are beautiful!)Read full review...
