Pimsleur language program is great!

Because my brother lived in Hong Kong, I spent every summer, for 20 years, in Hong Kong with him. Over those years I learned to speak some Cantonese. But it's been a while since I was there and I felt I needed to brush up. I have always like the Pimsleur method, so I decided to buy it in Cantonese. I am doing fine, so far. Some of the language is coming back to me. This is a great program for learning a language. It is all audio; no book. But it is great to hear the words pronounced, especially in a language like Cantonese, with so many tones. I recommend Pimsleur to anyone looking for a way to learn a new language.Read full review...

Perhaps the best way for self taught language

After trying other language programs on CD's, I've settled on the Pimsleur method. They break down the words syllable by syllable so that I can comprehend just how to make the pronouncement correctly. I'm a VERY slow leaner, and these cd's have worked the best for me.Read full review...
