Batman Dark Victory

This Trade Paper Back contains all of the Dark Victory Comics that Jeph Loeb wrote and Tim Sale illustrated. The events portrayed in the book take place shortly after the events covered in Long Halloween which was handled by the same writers and artists. The events take place early on in Batmans career. I've always found these stories to be the most interesting. Seeing some of the events that shape Batman and other characters is always intriguing for me. However, the best part of the book is how the writer and illustrator handle the characters. Batman is dark and brooding, and (mostly) on his own. Loeb and Sale really "get" the subject matter and it shows in their depiction. If you like Frank Millers "Year One" story, Matt Wagners "Dark Moon Rising", and especially "The Long Halloween" you will LOVE this book. I highly reccomend it to any COMIC book fan, let alone Batman fans.Read full review...

Dark Victory

Jeph Loeb is an amazing author; he really understands the Batman Character and the world that surronds him. A must read along with "The Long Halloween" for any Batman fan. A great place to start if you haven't read any of the graphic novels before.Read full review...

I am collecting the batman GN's and this was one of them

I git this book to go along with the rest of the batman Graphic Novels that I have of him. Due space limitations I can deal with the GN's better than the monthly books.
