I think most of the people that dump on Behringer products are just upset that they stupidly paid thousands of dollars for a product that does the same exact thing, operating on the same exact specs as a sub $100 Behringer unit. The MDX1400 is quiet, easy to operate and has awesome compression, a great limiter and an enhancer that all work together to allow the user to dial in top quality studio sound. I chained this unit with a professional equalizer and a Universal Audio twin-finity tube preamp and it's indistinguishable from the sound of the Avalon 737 that I've recorded through for the past 20 years.
